Reid Wilson

Reid has 10 years experience with sculpture and the arts. For the past 4 years he has run the Friendly Art Gallery and Sculpture Park and shop on the main road through Hampden  where his own and many other sculptors works can be viewed with a warm cuppa coffee.

Reid's works are all original design which are inspired by the movement and flow in the stone. He enjoys discovering new techniques and different facets of sculpture and has worked in traditional relief sculpture and abstract forms.

Reid achieves a high level of finish to his sculptures and encourages people to touch and explore the surface of his works. His smooth tactile finish draws people to touch the works. Forming a visual bond but also a physical bond is a hall mark of Reid's sculptural art.

Reid is available for commission work.

He is a familiar smiling face at the Oamaru Stone Symposium and is actively involved in organizing this fine even.
