Bill McRostie - Universe in a nutshell. (that which inspires my work)

One senses the conscious presence of everything: trees, mountains, water, our fellow creatures. Consciousness pervades all; not solely us.

In recent millennia people have become increasingly  unconscious and a little too self-conscious. There is a lack of civility in civilisation. We find ourselves yoked to the machine, the Frankenstein creation of reductionist science and material "progress", and it turns against us. The damage we do to our Earth we do to ourselves.

Now is a crucial time to give voice to the organism on which we live: Mother Earth, Gaia. Our bodies are of her clay - these bio-degradable vehicles for material experience. Our meaning (of life) is to express Her glory: to sing, dance, create, heal, love and so further our soul journey.

Goddess emanates from Her and is a channel and expression of the above, to help channel and express our urge for meaning, spirituality and ritual, along with Her Yonic symbols (you may see graven into much of my work) and her allied animals, particularly snake/serpent- symbolic of wisdom, knowledge, the cosmic vibration and progenitor of Earth, all life and the Universe.

May we evolve through this industrial age of greed and fear, with wisdom and compassion, from rational to intuitive.

So there you have an inkling of my inspiration and motivation for the work I do. 

Final respect to my children who amoungst many wonderful gifts, motivate me to add some beauty compassion and truth to the world in the hope of a bright future.
